Try wheel throwing and hand building with our intro to ceramics class.
Get a feel for the craft and for the studio.
STEP 2: Foundations course
Think of this as Pottery 101 for wheel throwing and hand building both.
STEP 3: Membership or punchcard
Continue your pottery practice on your own.
The keyword here is practice! The hours you will put into your practice will show up as muscle memory.
Utilize Office hours with instructors to get any support or feedback on specific projects (think of these as Pottery 102); this is an opportunity to sharpen what you already know and push the boundaries on more complex projects with instructor support.
STEP 4: Workshops
Join beginner-friendly workshops for inspiration and learning new techniques.
Once you are confident of your basic techniques, expand your skill set with more advanced workshops.
Think of these as Pottery 103!
Your Hey Clay journey
We hope you will find your own personalized journey at Hey Clay. You’ll find below an overview of how potters of different levels might experience Hey Clay and its offerings. Once you have the basics of pottery nailed down - via Foundations course or from previous experience - you can choose your own adventure! Access and experience pottery in any way you’d like.

STEP 2: Membership or punchcard
Start practicing independently at Hey Clay right away
Utilize Office hours to get any support or feedback on specific projects. Questions may be about troubleshooting, project strategy, guidance on glazes and glaze applications etc.
STEP 3: Workshops
Join any scheduled workshops to further hone your skills and technique.
Think of these as Pottery 103!
