Foundations course
An 8-week pottery 101 course designed by experienced ceramics educators for beginners and potters returning after a significant break. Wheel throwing and hand building covered. Foundations graduates are eligible to sign up for memberships! Our first Foundations cycle will begin in January 2026.

Beginners who are new to pottery
Potters returning after a significant break who need a basic refresher in both techniques
A note on personal projects
The Foundations course requires students to closely follow the curriculum, which has been designed by experienced ceramic educators. To ensure getting the most out of this course and to set beginners up for long term success in their pottery journey, we do not encourage working on personal projects during Foundations class, unless they overlap with the scope of the curriculum. To work on personal projects, enrolled students can utilize Open Studio hours.
